Spring is officially here, with of course us waking up to a few inches of snow from a spring storm yesterday. It was melted before the day was over! That is why I love Colorado.
We had a wonderful Easter, Greg and I hosted for the first time ever. It was a wonderful time and we had a special treat for the kids, besides the Easter bunny hiding tons of eggs outside! We had some good friends come with their train for the kids. It was pretty much the hit of the whole day and of course the neighbors kids loved it also. Kids came running out to get a ride on it. Greg and I both agreed that it was by far our favorite Easter ever! Gavin still talks about Pat and his train. Here are some pictures of our whole day. Gavin absolutely loved hunting for eggs (I can't believe I am going to admit this, but I am typing this in between hiding eggs for Gavin in the house, he can't get enough of it)! He especially loved the candy loaded in them!
Finding his football egg, I think he is already eating a Jelly Bean at 7 in the morning!
His loot, he was upset there wasn't more eggs to find, I had to remind him the Easter Bunny hid about 60 outside!
Finding his Easter Basket in the bathtub with new PJs and shoes!
The kids making a break for it out of the house- the hunt began!
Gavin finding a few in the tree!
Frankie, Jack and Pyper's loot, they all did great!
The Infamous Train!
I love the fact the kids always rode in the back! The train got quite a workout that day, by the end kids were waiting in line to get a ride. We even had one couple drive by and stop and ask if their little boy- another Gavin, could go for a ride.
Gavin driving the train, he absolutely loved it!
A huge thank you to Pat and Nita for bringing the train, the kids still rave about it.
Hope everyone had a Happy Easter!
