Christmas Day!

Santa was very good to our kiddos this year as you can see...... Above is our Xmas day in review.  Gavin got all three items on his  list to Santa that he wanted:

1.  Super Hero  - Check
2.  Super Hero shoes- Check
3.  Santa doll or toy-  Check (he actually made this as an ornament.)

Plus the kids got a tramp for the basement!  Yea!  We still get a LOT of questions on how exactly Santa got that down our chimney and into the basement.  He is very magical!  Next post- Gavin's 4th Birthday!  Yea!  We just got done yesterday doing 4 or 5 days of celebration.

Christmas a Little Late!

Well our Christmas was wonderful, we spent a lot of time with family and friends.  A great way to celebrate!  We started our festivities Christmas Eve morning with a brunch and presents at Greg's parents.  We then hit my  cousin's house that night to celebrate with my side of the family.  Christmas morning was our house with presents and brunch.  The rest of the day we hosted an open house.  We decided last year that we want our kids to be able to enjoy their presents and hang out on Christmas Day, instead of driving around to different relatives homes.  A great way to celebrate.  Here is our Christmas Eve in pictures....

Christmas Eve Morning:
This was her activity all morning...

One of Sloan's favorite gifts, she didn't open one gift after seeing this!

Christmas Eve Night

All of the cousins (minus Sloan who was sleeping), big smiles and of course some Tebowing!

I will do our Christmas Day in another post.  I love that I am getting into blogging again, only to be have serious issues with the pictures I am downloading.  It is so weird, has taken me two weeks to figure out that if I have pictures that need to be rotated I can't just fix it on my picture software and bam it is fine on the blog.  No, I have to rotate them a 180 degrees the OPPOSITE WAY, and then they will be vertical on the blog.  Weird!  Oh well, I finally figured it out and no it wasn't a full 2 weeks, it was about 2 hours - I just started this blog a few weeks ago!  Oh well!

Happy New Year!

Our cute munchkins....more to come on our "photo shoot"
Happy belated New Year to you and yours!  I know I can hand out a ton of excuses on my lack of blogging lately and my promises to do our summer in pictures....but I am a slacker.  AND, I got a new camera from Santa and know how to download and take pictures/video with this thing.  I am not a techie, but have some serious issues with cameras that are not dummy proof.  So I got a new one and low and behold- I already got our Christmas and NYE downloaded!  Yipee!  And while I was looking for the cord to download, found all the cords for our old camera.  So hopefully can download some of the pics of this summer.  That is one of my resolutions, besides, get fit, not spend so much, have patience, the norms, but blog once a week.  And get up to date on the kids baby books.  But don't hold your breath!

The family

Uncle Jim wrangling the newbie
So I will begin my new year of blogging with how we spent our New Years.  We had family fly in on the 30th, hosted a party that night and packed up and headed  to Steamboat on the 31st.  It was very fun.  Granted the majority of us were in bed by 10 or 11 that night.  Oh well!  Big news though, Gavin went skiing for the first time!  What a way to start off the new year!  He had excellent balance, and said he liked it, but after a few too many tumbles he was done.  Which was fine, I was just glad he did it!  Thanks muchos to Aunt Jill and Uncle Jim- they were his teachers.  As as Gavin said, "Uncle Jim is a good teacher."   Here are some pics:

Gavin and Daddy about to hit the slopes
We then hit a different slope for some sledding.  Gavin was brave and went down by himself, it was great!  He would fly down and then haul his tube back up!  Sloan got into it too, but pretty much preferred tossing the football down the hill.  She is easy to please.

My next post will hopefully be Christmas and how good Santa was to us all!  Hope you had a wonderful holiday and a great start to the New Year!
