Well, where to start? Lets see, my son, the toddler, the adorable tyke, the raging bull or as I like to call him, my mini self aka DRAMA! He is getting very cranky while eating. I guess we are not shoveling the food in fast enough. The other day he was being quite the pill while eating and I had had enough. I slapped my hand on his high chair and sternly told him that I was tired of the attitude and he needed to learn patience. My lovely sons response was to take one look at my very serious face and start laughing hysterically. BRAT! I immediately called Greg and we both admitted that I deserved it since I laugh at him whenever he throws a tantrum! Paybacks are already coming. Gavin is loving this 55 and higher weather, the boy would live outside if he could. We spent several hours outside on Sunday with the Kunz's, so he could do some off roading on his Lil 'Quad. Daily we are exploring different parts of our yard, rocks are rocks to me, but not to a little boy!
It was a monumental day Monday, I actually gave him a Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich. For those that don't know, I do not like peanut butter, and can't believe I broke down and gave it to him. He of course loved it and was a sticky stinky mess when done. He also tried halibut this week. He scarfed that down too. There really isn't too much that he won't eat. Right now he is loving eggs with ketchup on them! Yuck! Oh well, he is definitely Greg's son!
On another note, some Gavinisms this week, as I am typing this he decided to bite my big toe! EWWWWW. Gross! Last weekend Greg put up a permanent gate to the downstairs, Gavin loves to throw toys down there daily and yesterday decided to wiggle under it to get a toy. I was in the kitchen and heard a sort of screeching sound. The only thing that was sticking out was his huge head! I can't believe he actually wiggled his body under it, but he did. I had a freak out moment, but was ok after I realized, duh, pull him out the way he went it. His love for the dogs is stronger daily, he now loves to give Crash toys and feed him. Crash is so gentle that he will take it straight from his hands. The other night we caught Gavin "rolling" Elvis. Poor Elvis, he takes a beating from that kid!

Mountain Living
This past weekend, we went up to Steamboat Springs to spend time with my Aunt Jill and Uncle Jim. My Mom, Marv and my sis' family all did the trip with us. We had a great time, very busy with Valentine's day, baking cupcakes, skiing, sledding, chatting, etc.
Gavin had a wonderful time spending time with his cousins and the rest of the family. He also ventured outside to so some sledding, looking like an abominable snowman. He wasn't really digging the clothes and actually freaked out when I tried to put his boots on him. So he went sledding in his tennis shoes! He absolutely loved it, granted when we first started it was nice out, but by the end (about 20 minutes later) it was snowing like crazy. He kept falling backwards in the sled and his poor little face would get carpeted in flakes. It was very cute. He loves being outside!
The kids had a great time opening up their Valentine's Day gifts, playing, decorating cupcakes (I think they ate more of the frosting then actually got on the cupcakes) and making snowflakes and construction paper hearts. Little Miss Pyper actually went skiing for a few hours, you will note in some of the pics little sister Frankie wanted to wear her ski boot and helmet! Of course the adults had no fun at all! Mom, Marv and I hung out with the kids on Saturday while the rest of the group went skiing, Greg had a great time and actually did not complain once the next day that he was sore! We had a wonderful time and love going up there! Thank you so much Leary's for letting us come up and being so hospitable! We love you!

Happy Anniversary Honey!
So I am a little delayed in writing this, it has been somewhat of a crazy week. Greg and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary on Monday. 2 YEARS! THAT IS IT! We both agreed that it has felt much longer, but in a good way. We have done so much in those 2 years, more than some people do in 20! We spent the evening going to a movie and out for some sushi. It was nice and relaxing. Plus the sushi was wonderful, along with the company. I love you more everyday! Thank you for giving me the best son in the world and for being the best husband in Brighton! :)
We are heading up to Steamboat this weekend, for some much needed sledding! Gavin, I am sure will like it once he gets over the fact that he is dressed as an Eskimo! Greg and I are excited to get out of town for a bit and hang out with the family.
Gavin has had a fever the past day, which is weird, because the boy acts no different. I think he is getting some more teeth in. During the night he woke us up screaming bloody murder, not because he felt bad, but because he was tied up in his blanket- he couldn't find his hands to get to doggy! The Horror! I picked him up and he was burning up, so of course, got Greg up, opened up my Baby Bible and was contemplating calling the doctor- hello 103! After some Tylenol it soon subsided and he went to sleep talking to himself and tooting- that is his new "thing". As we speak he is sitting in the dishes cupboard stirring his "food" with a spoon and grunting. LOVELY. He is of course adorable and said banana today. I was trying to have him eat mango this morning with his breakfast and he took one bite, spit it out and said "banana". It was pretty funny. **I feel like I have been neglecting the dogs for a bit, so have added some pics of Elvis sleeping on Crash's bum!**

My Son- the Toddler!
BEFORE & AFTER
It is official, my baby is now a toddler. The hair cut went great, he did wonderful, sat there and didn't flinch, cry, freak out. But me on the other hand, well I stood there and CRIED! I was a pathetic whimpering mess. I couldn't believe how much different he looks now. Greg said, "he aged right before my eyes!" And he did - no more baby fine hair, now he looks like a little man. Of course he is still as adorable as ever, but he definitely looks older. The Kunz's were there with us to document this big step, I think Papa probably took about 100 pics!
We had his one year check up yesterday, still going good. Weighing in at a whooping 24.5 pounds, a little less than both Greg and I thought he would be. His weight and head size are in the 95th percentile. HE HAS A HUGE NOGGIN! Height is still in the 75th%. So going strong. Gavin is also talking a lot more, granted some of it is nonsense, but a few new words are fish and shoe. He is now learning his nose, eyes, hands, feet. The only thing he likes to point out is his hands. Also loving to wave goodbye and hello. Granted this is to the dogs the majority of the time, he likes to wave to them when he goes to bed and when he wakes up, very cute. If you ask him if he wants to go to bed he will now nod his head yes, grab doggy and go to the baby gate and try to get upstairs. How great is that?? My child loves to sleep! Still loving to walk, we spent a lot of time outside today in the wonderful 67 degree weather playing in the rocks, swinging, sitting in the mulch and trying to eat it! Gross.... But alas, that is the least of my problems, right now he is trying to eat everything! Yesterday he tried to eat a rock and loves to mouth the trash can. That just grosses me out thinking about it! Luckily this kid loves to brush his teeth! Happy February to all, can you believe this weather!
