We have realized the past few times at my sister's house that Gavin needs his very own vacuum. Yes, a vacuum. He has always been a bit fascinated with the one at home, but they have a "child" one that is just his size. Every time we are over there, he does nothing but play with that thing. "Oh, a party is going on around me and all my cousins are here? Too bad, I am too busy vacuuming the house to bother!" On Mother's Day we had dinner with the Kunz's at a favorite Mexican restaurant and Gavin decided to help the staff, by using their push vacuum to clean up a mess. My child would rather clean then eat I guess! Greg decided to vacuum a few nights ago and Gavin threw a humongous fit- he wanted to do it. Ours is a little too big for him to do it, so I finally got him his own yesterday. Of course he loves it and it has become a new favorite.
A few new things with regards to Gavin, his new words are Hot and Hi Daddy. It is weird that he rarely will speak in front of others, only Greg and I. No matter what we try! He is also loving all his new wonderful toys for outside. His new thing is doing his eyes, nose, mouth, etc. And of course showing his belly, or as I refer to it, his "Buddha belly". The pictures below are of course of him and my cupboards. That child will not stay out of them. He loves to remove EVERYTHING from the inside, throw it all over the floor and sit in the cupboards. Very comical.
Mother's Day was wonderful this year. My baby cousin Taylor graduated from CU on Friday, so we had a bunch of family in town for the celebration. Friday and Saturday were spent whooping it up in Boulder and hosting a party at our house. Sunday we were supposed to go to Evergreen, hang out, go for a long walk around the lake up there. We woke up that morning to poopy weather and exhaustion. Greg made a big breakfast, then we all took a nap for a few hours. We were pretty wiped out. But a great day overall.
Greg and I will be heading to Las Vegas next weekend for a small getaway without the bean. We are both looking forward to it, but it has somewhat creaped up on us! Gavin will be staying a few days with my Mom and a few with Greg's parents. I am sure he will not be spoiled at all. The above pic, I had to put in so people know we do actually have 2 dogs. They are both very handsome and I can't believe I got a pic with Crash looking at me! Below is my son being the climber he is and standing on his toy box. I think he is trying to break out the window and get outside.
A very Happy Memorial Day to all!
