That is how my whole house has felt for almost a week. Gavin came down with a cold/fever last Thursday and has progressively gotten worse. Our whole weekend was spent in the house trying to placate him, make him comfortable, wipe his nose, listen to him cry and hold him. Greg and I both felt like we got nothing done this weekend, and we didn't! We had all these plans to work on the nursery, do flowers outside, see family, etc. Everything was put on the back burner and I did get out of the house for a few hours on Saturday to get my hair done. That is it. I am officially going a little crazy. We did get out yesterday to the doctor where we were told not only does he have a cold, but double ear infections. Lovely. Did I mention that he has been getting up about 4 am now? Well I should say his sleeping has gotten better. The first few nights he was up every couple hours crying and coughing his poor little heart out. The past few nights he has been back in his bed and this morning did not come down until 4:45am. So every day it is getting better! Yea. Just what a 7 month prego woman wants, to get about 6 hours of sleep a night- on a good night! I have been super fun lately, let me tell you! Greg is living off of coffee, energy drinks and soda, while I have my one soda a day. I actually told Gavin about 6:30 this morning we were going to Starbucks and getting a Chai Tea and a muffin and then realized my car is torn apart from him power barfing in the back seat yesterday. I really don't like driving the truck, so I ended up with my soda this morning and making muffins. Motherhood. Gavin's appetite has gone down considerably, it is a good day if I can get him to eat anything. This picture was from Friday night, his Popsicle dinner. He ate about a 1/3 of it. Oh well.
On another note, I am trying to branch out on my cooking a little more, especially with it being summer, Greg loves to grill. I wanted to try out a recipe from my Cooking Light magazine and finally got an hour on Sunday to whip it up, and try it out. Greg and I actually got about 30 minutes to eat it before we had to be on snot duty. It was great, a Peach and Red Pepper salsa over Halibut. It was really good, but a little too spicy. It asked for one habanero pepper and I put in two, oh well. We both really liked it though. I think tomorrow night we are going to try out General Tao's Chicken from one of his Gluten Free cookbooks (if I can get out of the house and get to the grocery store). I will let you know how it goes, I am not a huge fan of chicken, so Greg will be helping out a lot on this one!

Oh man!!! I know how that feels and it is horrible, let alone when you are in your last trimester!
Mia was sick all weekend too with a fever, and up all night. Turns out she has Roseola. Good times.
